Absolutely! We offer international shipping to hockey players around the world. No matter where you are, RIBBON grips can reach you! Shipping costs and delivery times may vary depending on your location, but rest assured, we deliver globally with reliable service. And even better, on orders above €40 we fully cover the costs for you.
Your order is handled with high performance standards and shipped from our warehouse in The Netherlands using the reliable PostNL service for global delivery. Delivery times vary based on your location:
- Within The Netherlands: orders typically arrive within 1-3 business days.
- International orders: delivery times depend on your country, but they usually take 5-10 business days.
Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number (if available) to track your package and get more precise updates.

Please note, most of our orders are shipped as letterbox packages, which may not include a tracking number. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we’ll assist you right away!
We offer a 30 day risk-free trial on all the RIBBON grips. If, after 30 days, you decide the grip isn’t for you, simply return it for free. For more details, visit the return policy here.

RIBBON grips are designed for durability and long-term performance, but their lifespan depends on how often you play.
- The Cork grip lasts a full season or longer, thanks to its wear-resistant and moisture-proof properties.
- The Sleeve grip is made for long-term use and outlasts traditional overgrips, maintaining its non-slip performance even in tough conditions.
If you play frequently or in wet conditions, consider replacing your grip sooner for the best feel and control.
Replacing your RIBBON grip is quick and easy, no special tools required! Just follow these 4 steps:
1️⃣ Remove the old grip: peel off your current grip from the stick. If using a Sleeve grip, cut it off with scissors.
2️⃣ Clean the handle: wipe away any residue or dirt for the best adhesion.
3️⃣ Apply your new grip: for the Cork grip, start wrapping from the top down at a slight angle, overlapping each layer by 2-3mm. For the Sleeve grip, simply slide it over your stick and pour boiling water over it to shrink into place.*
4️⃣ Secure the end: use the included finishing tape to hold the grip in place (only needed for the Cork grip).

*Be careful when handling boiling water. Always pour slowly and avoid contact with your skin. We recommend having an adult assist. Safety first!
We recommend replacing your grip at least once per season to maintain optimal performance and hygiene. Leaving your grip on for too long can cause moisture buildup and even mold under the grip, definitely something you don’t want to hold! If you play frequently or in wet conditions, consider changing it more often for the best feel and control.
For the best performance, we recommend using a fresh grip. The Sleeve grip cannot be reused after heated, as it shrinks tightly to your stick. The Cork grip can sometimes be rewrapped, but reusing it may reduce comfort and grip quality. For optimal feel and durability, we suggest sticking to one-time applications.
The Cork vs. Sleeve grip comparison
The Cork grip is a base grip designed to replace your original hockey stick grip. It provides a natural, cushioned feel with excellent durability and moisture resistance.
The Sleeve grip is a thin overgrip that shrinks tightly onto your stick when heated with boiling water. It offers a non-slip surface for maximum grip and control, even in wet conditions. The Sleeve grip is meant to be applied over your existing grip for extra performance.
Both the Cork and Sleeve grips are designed to fit all standard field hockey sticks.
- The Cork grip measures 180 cm in length, giving you enough material to fully wrap your handle with some overlap.
- The Sleeve grip is 50 cm long and sized to fit all standard sticks. Just slide it on, shrink it with boiling water, and you’re good to go! Want a shorter grip? Simply cut it to your desired length before applying.
The Cork grip is thicker and more cushioned, ideal if you prefer a softer, slightly larger handle with added shock absorption.
The Sleeve grip is a thin overgrip that adds minimal size, perfect for players looking for a tight overgrip with a direct feel on their stick.
