How do you use the Ribbon sportgrip?

Cork for comfort. Sleeve for extra grip. Together they form the ultimate grip setup for top performance on the field.

1

Remove your old grip

Is your grip smooth, worn, or hardened? Do you need less control and more power to hold onto your stick? Then it's time to replace it.

2

Build the foundation with Cork

Wrap the Cork tightly around your stick, with an overlap of about 3 mm. Comfort and reduced vibrations guaranteed!

3

Finish off with a Sleeve

Slide the Sleeve over the Cork for extra grip. Carefully pour boiling water over the sleeve and you're ready to play!

FAQ

Questions? We have the answers.

What is the best field hockey grip?

The best field hockey grip depends on your playing style. If you're looking for extra comfort and shock absorption, choose the RIBBON Cork Grip. If maximum grip and direct stick feel are your priority, the RIBBON Sleeve Grip is the perfect choice. For the ultimate setup, we recommend the RIBBON Starter Kit, combining comfort, grip and control in one complete system.

Why is a hockey grip so important?

Your hockey grip is the only part of your stick you hold throughout the entire game. Every pass, dribble, tackle and shot starts with the connection between your hands and your stick. A fresh field hockey grip improves comfort, grip and confidence, helping you perform at your best.

How often should I replace my hockey grip?

A field hockey grip naturally wears down with every training session and match. Most players replace their hockey grip every 2–4 months, depending on how often they play. If you train multiple times a week, replacing your grip more regularly helps maintain maximum grip, control and stick feel.

Are RIBBON hockey grips suitable for every hockey stick?

Yes. All RIBBON field hockey grips are designed to fit every standard field hockey stick, regardless of brand or playing level.

What's the difference between a base grip and an overgrip?

A base grip is wrapped directly onto your hockey stick to provide comfort and cushioning. An overgrip is applied over the base grip to increase grip, stick feel and control. Together they create the complete RIBBON System.
