FAQ

Questions? We have the answers.

What is a hockey base grip?

A hockey base grip is the first layer wrapped directly around your stick. It adds comfort, cushioning and shock absorption while creating the perfect foundation for an overgrip.

Can I use the Cork Grip without an overgrip?

Yes. The RIBBON Cork Grip performs perfectly on its own. However, combining it with the RIBBON Sleeve Grip creates the best balance between comfort, grip and stick feel.

Does the Cork Grip reduce vibrations?

Yes. The cushioned construction helps absorb vibrations from passes, hits and tackles, making every touch feel softer and more controlled.

How long does a Cork Grip last?

A Cork Grip typically lasts 6–12 months, depending on how often you play. If the grip starts to feel compressed or loses its cushioning, it's time for a replacement.

Is the Cork Grip suitable for all field hockey players?

Absolutely. From junior players to elite athletes, every hockey player benefits from increased comfort and reduced vibrations.
